Training Solutions: the Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium CRS took care of all the software needs for the conference, meaning that the GIS software used by trainers was loaded in advance onto the computers at CRS’ Minneapolis location, saving planners many hours of valuable pre-event sleep. “It’s a stressful time before a conference, and no one wanted to waste energy scrambling to load software and set up hardware. But that’s what our people were doing in past years.” (full story)

Serving Our Country, CRS Style: The Republican National Convention and the 2008 Elections CRS activities took on a decidedly bipartisan flavor in support of our national elections in 2008. It took a combination of quick response and fancy dribbling to effectively handle the moving targets, challenging deadlines and intricate details to meet the needs of everyone involved. (full story)

Computers On Ice: The NHL Stanley Cup Championship Since Computer Rental Systems first hooked up with the New York-based National Hockey League in 2004 to provide computers for the NHL All-Star Game in St. Paul, we have worked with the League to support their technology needs for the Stanley Cup Final, the best-of-seven championship round of their extensive playoff system that is avidly followed by hockey enthusiasts all over the world. Technology AND Service-NAFSA: The Association of International Educators When NAFSA: The Association of International Educators brought 8,000 of its members to the Twin Cities for its very large annual convention in the spring of 2007, they turned to Computer Rental Systems to provide the technology equipment they needed to have in place for the eight-day event. Building Relationships: International City/County Management Assn. In 2005, CRS provided computers for the International City/County Management Association, held that year at the Minneapolis Convention Center. As the event wound down, conference coordinator Sallie Burnett said to us, "We sure wish you could come to San Antonio with us for next year's meeting." (full story)
